Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has hinted he would relish the prospect of playing alongside Premier League stars Gareth Bale and Wayne Rooney.

Rooney will never play for barca. he's not the type of player they demand. i.e. gifted technically. he's more huff and puff. has scored some cracking goals tho. but he's not at that standard. He never fulfilled the 'new pele' tag the british media threw on him when he was 16 It's too early to tell with Bale. Another 2 seasons of this form then he has earned a lot of what is already been said about him, but until it's consistent I feel it's too soon.

m curious as to what image Real Madrid are trying to re-establish as I always thought their pre-Jose image was one of a bunch of a classless bullies tapping up whoever they wanted while living it large on borrowed money they're never going to pay back.
