While there are no English teams in the Champions League quarter-finals this week, Clement will be on the touchline in Barcelona on Wednesday - alongside Carlo Ancelotti.

The former PE teacher joined the French giants after a spell at Blackburn with Steve Kean, and he insists that his former job has helped him in his footballing career.

"It wasn't so long ago I was a PE teacher, but I certainly think the skills I developed in that role really helped me in coaching, with organisation and planning," he told Sky Sports News' chief reporter Bryan Swanson.

Clement was taken to PSG by Ancelotti after the pair forged their working relationship at Chelsea and he is full of praise for the Italian tactician.

"He has helped me immensely in my role, given me confidence, given me ideas, given me inspiration to go on and hopefully become manager or first-team coach in my own right," he said.

Clement is not the only Englishman at PSG with David Beckham also now at the club and he backed the calls for him to play on.

"He still has a lot to offer and at the end of the season he will sit down with his family and seriously consider whether it is time to stop, or whether he can offer something - I think he can - and continue next season," he concluded.
