Wilfried Zaha: Desperate for promotion before he leaves for Old Trafford

The Eagles were held to a goalless stalemate by Gus Poyet's side at Selhurst Park on Friday with all to play for back in Brighton on Monday.

Zaha, who played his first professional game for Palace three years ago, signed for Manchester United in January but stayed at the Eagles on loan.

He says securing Premier League status for his first ever club would be the perfect parting gift.

"It's all I want to do," Zaha told Sky Sports when asked how much Palace's promotion means to him.

"I've been here for so many years but bringing Palace up to the Premier League would be the best thing ever."

But Zaha knows a tough task awaits in Monday's second leg on the south coast.

"It's a hard place to win but we will do the best we can and see what happens," Zaha said.

"We did the best we can and we just have to go over there and try and win it."
