Steve Evans: Up for managerial honour

Evans, who celebrated a third successive promotion after two with Crawley, led the Millers to five wins from their final five games of the League Two campaign which propelled them from seventh position to an eventual second-place finish.

The 50-year-old Scot has been nominated for the manager of the month gong and will battle it out with Bradford's Phil Parkinson and York's Nigel Worthington.

O'Connor, meanwhile, was the heartbeat of the Millers' impressive finish, saving his best form of the season for the most important part and got on the scoresheet in the 4-1 win over Exeter.

The Northern Ireland international midfielder is up against Chesterfield's Marc Richards and York's Chris Smith.

h Daniel. I could spend hours on this subject putting the world to rights. You can even take a step back and ask why football fans (and society in general) have this need to know that something will happen before it actually does. There are times this important, when it comes to things like war, food production and natural disasters. A man you've never met changing his job? Not so much.
