The highly-rated defender was handed his senior debut at Lens in 2009 while still in his teens and was snapped up by Toulouse in 2012.

He has impressed at Ligue 1 level, earning him international recognition with Ivory Coast.

The 20-year-old is now being linked with moves to England, or a potential title challenger in France, and admits he is flattered to be the centre of attention.

Aurier said: "I would like to perform at the top level and play against top opponents every week.

"I am enjoying my international career so far. I love the national team, they have been great for me.

"Everton are a top team and if they show interest in you it means a lot. I am just trying to stay relaxed about things.

"Marseille are a top club in France and when they show interest you cannot ignore it, you have to listen."

ll very well selling all midfield and strikers but unless we bring anyone in that is better than what we had then it will be a terrible transfer window in my view. Sorted out the defense but our midfield and striker options look very light.
