Lucas Digne: Reported to be attracting interest from across Europe

The 19-year-old is currently away at the Under-20 World Cup and insists his full focus is on that competition, with France having made it through to the semi-finals.

He is aware of rumours suggesting he is a target for the likes of Galatasaray and Monaco, while Liverpool and Manchester United have been credited with holding an interest in the past.

Digne is, however, eager to avoid any distractions for now and will look to sit down with his current employers and work out where he stands when he returns to Stade Lille Metropole.

He told L'Equipe: "I will let my agents do their job and I will sort out my future when I get back from the U20 World Cup.

"Of course, a transfer would be an important moment in my career. But to me, the sporting aspect is most important.

"I am under contract until 2017 at Lille so if the chairman wants to keep me, then there won't be any trouble.

"Lille are one of the best clubs in France so I can go on improving there, even if we only play in Le Championnat (with no European qualification).

"I am still young and the most important thing is to play."

However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

Wenger hails important win

I

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
