The France international, who joined from Manchester United last year, has established himself as a regular in Turin, starring in his side's Serie A-winning campaign.

Pogba has been linked with a move to Arsenal during this transfer window, but an exit has been ruled out and Conte says that the 20-year-old is improving all the time.

"In comparison to last season, Paul is a different player. He grew on a tactical and technical level too," he told Italian press.

"I've read recently in an interview in which he said he wants to become the world's strongest player. I'm happy for this.

"He must have these ambitions and be working for this because he has all the possibilities. But he must keep his feet on the ground and follow mine and his team-mates' suggestions."

Conte also saluted new signing Carlos Tevez after the Argentinian netted the winner during his side's 1-0 win at Sampdoria.

"Tevez is praiseworthy," he said. "I've heard many things about him, but I discovered a really big champion who gives an important help of quality and who takes part in the defensive game too."

Tevez, who joined from Manchester City during the summer, admitted his delight after marking his Juventus debut with the winning goal.

"It's a perfect night," said Tevez.

"I'm happy because it's a goal that allowed us to win on a really difficult ground. The feeling with my new team-mates is good.

"But we need to improve again, because it's not easy immediately understanding all of the systems. I need a little time to get into the habit."

t's why Mourinho is so successful. He gives players a specific, limited set of functions to perform. They are but a cog in a machine. Do no more, do no less. I assume he learnt it from LvG :)

really hope that someone in the mainstream media spots that the Bayern manager played for and managed Barcelona quite well, and thinks to mention it in the build up. That would be really interesting.
