Jan Vertonghen admitted that firepower was the difference between Belgium and Scotland at Hampden Park.

A goal in each half from Steven Defour and Kevin Mirallas ensured the visiting side took another massive step towards Brazil by remaining at the top of Group A.

And Tottenham defender Vertonghen said Marc Wilmots' side came for all three points and deserved to get them.

"That was what we hoped for - 2-0," the Spurs defender told Sky Sports 3.

"We had a very good game. Sometimes we were in a difficult period but Scotland are a good team and we were well prepared.

"We watched a lot of video and were ready.

"I think we had a lot of firepower up front, a lot of players who can score. I think that's the problem in the Scotland squad. We have so many who can and want to score and a solid defence.

"We're five points up with two games to go so we need a draw in Croatia, but of course we want to win."

put Ince in my fantasy football team, so it's no surprise at all really. I do that to players. Also responsible for De Jong and Upson being injured. Think I'll transfer in Di Maria just to ruin United....
