Kuyt misses out on 100th cap

Striker Dirk Kuyt will have to wait to win his 100th cap for Holland after withdrawing from the squad for the upcoming friendlies against Japan and Columbia after suffering a hamstring injury.

Dirk Kuyt: Withdraws from Holland squad

The former Liverpool, Feyenoord and Utrecht forward sustained the injury during Fenerbahce's match with Galatasaray on Sunday.

Kuyt has so far accrued 98 caps for Holland after making his debut against Liechtenstein in September 2004.

Coach Louis van Gaal has not called up a replacement for the 33-year-old with the Oranje due to face Japan in Belgium on Saturday with Colombia the next opponents on the following Tuesday.
