Ashley Cole: Chelsea left-back continues to struggle with injury

Cole missed the session at Cobham as he continues to battle a muscle problem in his leg which has restricted him to just one appearance - which was for England - since the end of January.

Cole, who was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the press on Monday morning, was not even part of the squad beaten 1-0 at Aston Villa on Saturday and that could give another chance to young defender Tomas Kalas.

There was better news of David Luiz, who did train and could be available to boss Jose Mourinho after missing the 4-0 win over Tottenham and the shock defeat at Villa Park that caused a bunching up at the top of the Premier League over the weekend.

Chelsea go into the Stamford Bridge match level with their Turkish opponents after Aurelian Chedjou cancelled out Fernando Torres' early goal in the first leg in Istanbul.

You can see Jose Mourinho's press conference ahead of the Champions League clash with Galatasaray on Sky Sports News tonight from 7pm.

hould have stayed because we carried him for 6.5 years. And then he has a breakthrough season, and was gone soon after. MU fans, you would be as disgusted had C Ronaldo left in 2007 and not 2009.

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
