Jim Bentley: Sees a bright future for Chris Doyle

The 19-year-old's decision to stay with the Shrimps for another season has delighted boss Jim Bentley.

"We know all about Chris and we are all confident that he has a good future in the game," Bentley told the club's official website.

"He was the reserve team player of the year again last season and is getting better all the time.

"He has all the hallmarks of being an excellent defender. He reads the game really well and is confident in possession and is getting stronger all the time as well."

Doyle made his first-team debut against Rochdale in March 2013 and has made seven appearances in total.
