Lewandowski's current deal expires in 2014 and the Poland international has been heavily linked with a summer move to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.

Manchester United have also been mooted as long-term admirers of the 24-year-old, who has yet to agree to any of the contract offers put to him by Dortmund.

"I do not believe there will be a contract extension taking place in terms of Robert Lewandowski," Dortmund's general manager Michael Zorc told LIGA total!

The reigning champions' chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke, who said the situation was 'getting on his nerves' over the weekend, also stressed there is no guarantee Lewandowski will be sold in the summer.

Watzke commented: "If he has not yet taken comfort of the offers to sign a new deal with us, the general likelihood will not be growing any bigger with time.

"This has, however, got nothing to do with him being a Borussia Dortmund player next season. It's not very realistic to see Robert Lewandowski playing for Bayern Munich next term.

"If Bayern Munich has an interest in one of our players for next season I am sure they will let us know. Then, they will receive a response. Maybe this is surprising to them.

"It's possible the best solution (keeping Lewandowski). If Robert stays on, we simply have a bigger chance of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League again - and we have earned £33.6million so far this season."

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
