The 29-year-old Jamaica international's switch to Scandinavia is subject to international clearance.

Richards' move to Turf Moor from Vancouver Whitecaps was agreed under former boss Eddie Howe but, with Sean Dyche in place by the time of his January arrival, he has made just two substitute appearances.

In a club statement, Dyche explained: "Dane was unbeknown to us when he came in.

"The club had already signed him when I was appointed and we feel we have given him a fair time to try and get used to it and give him a little taste for it.

"We just thought he was short to be honest for what we needed, so the idea of a loan is to get Dane out playing again and get him some game time."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
