The Brazil international has been the subject of plenty of speculation over the past 18 months and reports at the weekend suggested that Corinthians could be set to make a move for him.

The player himself insists that he is not aware of any negotiations.

He told Globo Esporte: "I don't know anything. Corinthians are a great club and I won't say I wouldn't like to play there.

"I'll arrive in Rio de Janeiro to know what's going on. But I'll keep focusing on my job."

Manchester United, Liverpool and Benfica were all linked with the player last season.

xcellent! Not sure if he is any good as a manager (never thought about it) but the 'headbutt in the technical area' and what he said to Pelligrini were just brilliant, it was as if he was trying to recreate the end of the Alan Partridge Xmas special when Alan punched a man in a wheelchair and verbally abused Tony Heirs.
