Verratti is reported to be being tracked by a number of clubs across Europe and has been linked to Premier League champions Manchester United.

The midfielder is valued at around £20m having enjoyed a fine debut season following his summer move from Pescara to the French capital and Madrid are said to be looking at the player closely.

Veratti's agent, Donato Di Campli, has denied he is in talks with Jose Mourinho's side.

Di Campli said: "First of all I would like to deny reports that I am in Spain at the moment.

"There is nothing with Real Madrid, also because whoever wants Marco will have to firstly go and negotiate with PSG. Right now there are too many rumours doing the rounds about him.

"The only thing that matters today is that Marco remains calm and ends his season in France in the best possible manner."

alcao really needs to shine now. Apparently according to the stats, he scores more when played up front alone. I wonder if Van Gaal will actually apply a formation to get the best out of him though.
