The 21-year-old striker has been training with the Jags this week in the hope of winning a deal.
He has featured in a practice match but Archibald wants to see more of the youngster before deciding if he has a future at Firhill.
He said: "The lad has been in training with us for the last week and he is in until next week.
"We are just having a look at him. He looks okay.
"We've just not had the chance to see him in another game yet.
"It will be another week anyway before anything happens."
Meanwhile, Archibald is keen to see Partick bounce back from last week's 3-0 home defeat to Aberdeen when Kilmarnock come calling this weekend.
He said: "The first couple of days afterwards were hard.
"It was a very disappointing performance and we knew that.
"But the boys are fine now and we are just looking forward to getting it out of our systems and putting in a good performance against Kilmarnock."
