Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels says he "would love" to extend his stay at Rugby Park but is concentrating first of all on ensuring that the club's playing squad is in place.
His side drew 1-1 with Aberdeen in their final home game of the season, with Dean Shiels' second-half goal cancelling out Jamie Masson's opener for the visitors.
The Rugby Park side extended their lead in seventh place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and are two points clear of St Mirren with just one game remaining.
Kilmarnock's manager said: "I haven't had a chance to sit down with the chairman, but I really want to be here, of course I want to be here next season.
"At a football club you have to prioritise - key players have to be signed and it's my job as a manager to do that; I'm preparing for the future and making sure there's stability at the club.
"We have a foundation for next season and we've thrown in eight or nine teenagers this season for some game time, to give them a little bit of experience.
"It's quite risky doing that, but we'll continue to do that to develop the long-term plan of the club, and that's to grow our own from within.
"The most important people at a football club are the players, and I'm particularly pleased to have got Manu Pascali signed this week.
"We've had so many highs and lows this season, we've been on an emotional rollercoaster.
"We're delighted to finish above clubs like Aberdeen and Hibernian; now we can be no worse than eighth and it's been a really good season for the club."
Craig Brown felt his Aberdeen side were unfortunate not to take full points after seeing Josh Magennis hit the woodwork and Scott Vernon fall foul of an offside flag, with the visitors piling on the pressure in the closing stages.
The Aberdeen manager said: "I think an independent observer would think we were unlucky; I'm just disappointed that we didn't get the three points that would have given us a chance to try and get above Kilmarnock and St Mirren in the league.
"It was good that Jamie Masson got a goal in only his second game in the first team; he's done well since he's come in.
"Over on the left isn't his best position, as he's a central midfield player, but he has composure on the ball, keeps possession and passes it well.
"We can only complain that we didn't score the goals - it's been the complaint all season, but it was very unfortunate that Josh hit the post in the first half, as it would have killed the game if we'd managed to go 2-0 up at half-time.
"The thing I'd compliment the players on was their attitude, which was really good and has been all season."
