The Robins boss refused to be drawn on whether Greg Cunningham was unlucky to be yellow carded for diving when he could have been awarded a penalty after a challenge from Kieran Lee.

Instead he refused to concentrate on his own side's positive performance, with Baldock's goal cancelling out a first half effort from Jermaine Johnson.

City remain seven points adrift at the bottom of the table but they will take confidence from preventing fellow strugglers Wednesday from leaving Ashton Gate with all three points.

"We deserved more. Our spirit has not been broken and we will keep on battling," said O'Driscoll.

"I am not going to comment on the penalty incident. The ref called it as he saw it and I prefer to dwell on the positives in our performance.

"Six more performances like that will do me, whatever the outcome of our season.

"The players are doing all I and the fans can ask of them. The supporters were fantastic today, even when we were a goal down, and that augurs well for the future."

h Daniel. I could spend hours on this subject putting the world to rights. You can even take a step back and ask why football fans (and society in general) have this need to know that something will happen before it actually does. There are times this important, when it comes to things like war, food production and natural disasters. A man you've never met changing his job? Not so much.

reat article. Hits the nail on the head. Encapsulates why I don't read tabloid newspapers anymore. The only thing worse is the 'told you so first' headline when they get lucky.
