The match had been heading for a goalless draw before Chris Zebroski latched on to a long ball to slide it home from 12 yards.

The result means Wanderers are still unbeaten and their lead over Brentford is now three points as the Bees could only draw 1-1 at home with Shrewsbury despite going ahead through Charlie MacDonald in the 73rd minute.

The lead only lasted seven minutes with Chris Humphrey levelling to leave the Shrews in fifth spot.

Exeter joined Brentford in the automatic promotion places following a 1-0 win at Barnet.

Matthew Gill scored the only goal of the game with a low shot following a cross by former Sunderland and Ipswich forward Marcus Stewart in the 72nd minute.

The Shakers pulled one back through Andy Bishop's penalty.

Gillingham are just outside the play-offs after two goals in two minutes earned a 2-0 win over Chester.

The Gills took the lead in the 72nd minute when Andy Barcham scored from close range with Leigh Mills doubling the lead two minutes later.

Bournemouth are still in the relegation zone following a 1-0 home defeat by Lincoln, thanks to a goal by Lenell John-Lewis.

Rotherham were involved in a thrilling 2-1 win at Macclesfield which saw two goals and two red cards late on.

Dale Tonge put the Millers ahead after five minutes but there was no further scoring until the visitors doubled their lead after 90 minutes through Ian Sharps. Sharps was then dismissed along with Macclesfield's James Jennings.

Francis Green pulled one back for the hosts in added time but the Millers held on.

Chesterfield enjoyed a 3-1 win over Notts County in the derby at Saltergate. Jamie Ward put Chesterfield ahead and Alan Goodall doubled the lead before Delroy Facey pulled one back. Paul Harsley sealed victory.
