Wolves are facing a central midfield crisis ahead of Sunday's Black Country derby against West Brom with four players ruled out or rated doubtful for the Molineux showdown.
On-loan Emmanuel Frimpong (ruptured knee ligaments) is out for the remainder of the season while former skipper Karl Henry will complete a three-game ban for his red card against Aston Villa.
Now Jamie O'Hara and Dave Edwards have added to manager Mick McCarthy's woes with injury setbacks. O'Hara is suffering from a groin problem after returning to action in last weekend's win at QPR after two months following double hernia surgery.
Edwards is battling to overcome a thigh injury.
McCarthy said: "O'Hara has not trained. He has just felt his groins again and it is unlikely he will train until Saturday now.
"Edwards has just come in now off the training ground with a thigh problem.
"That is not impressing me too much. We could do without any more injuries but we will wait and see where we are. It leaves us short in midfield but we will see where we are in the next couple of days. I'm hoping they will be okay."
Winger Michael Kightly (back) is also sidelined while right-back Kevin Foley has an ankle problem.
McCarthy admits the mood around the training ground has been more upbeat after the win at Loftus Road - the first in 10 games.
He said: "We are not fighting the world this week, strangely enough. It is nice to have that winning feeling back.
"Last week, it was like we were in the trenches fighting everybody and this week it has been quite calm and benign. That is normal procedure.
"But in the main our performances have been good. A lot has been said about the Liverpool one but they have been pretty good overall.
"If we can make it back-to-back wins, it will give everyone a huge lift."
