Mark Hughes will not let QPR "cry over spilt milk" as he is only interested in winning their upcoming games.
The west Londoners are in the midst of an important run of fixtures, facing several sides that are looking to stave off relegation from the Barclays Premier League.
Hughes takes QPR to former club Blackburn this weekend off the back of a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Wolves.
The Hoops were in the lead and dominating until Djibril Cisse's sending off turned the match in an eerily-similar fashion to last month's match with Norwich.
In that match Joey Barton received his marching orders as the Rs fell to a 2-1 defeat, but Hughes wants his players to forget about the past and focus on getting more points on the board.
"There have been mitigating circumstances [in throwing away leads]," he said.
"There have been two games where we have been in control and unfortunately a guy has been sent off and that has affected the outcome.
"Obviously Joey got sent off against Norwich and Djibril last week so in both of those situations we were comfortable and lost six points.
"We could have been sat here and been a lot better off.
"We can look back on it and [cry over] spilt milk somewhat, but you can't do anything about it.
"You have to get on with games you have got ahead of you and that's what we are focusing on.
"It is important we are really positive about every game we have from now until the end of the year.
"There is an understanding with the guys that if we lose players to indiscipline it is going to hurt us all.
"We have got to keep every player on the pitch if we can, that goes without saying.
"We are a good side and create things if we have got everybody on the pitch."
QPR will be without Cisse for Saturday's trip to Ewood Park as the recent addition starts a three-match ban.
Hughes will also be without several other key players, including DJ Campbell, Heidar Helguson and Luke Young.
"We have a number of important games coming up, which started with Wigan and then Wolves last time out," said the Welshman, who will take his players warm-weather training next week.
"Blackburn are coming up at the weekend so they are big games, each and every one of them.
"We need to take points of teams in and around us. We weren't able to do that last week, a couple of weeks ago we were.
"We need to get back to hampering the teams in and around us and helping ourselves.
"Obviously Cisse is suspended for this weekend, DJ Campbell is out and Heidar Helguson has not trained so he won't be available.
"We have a few coming back that we need to check on tomorrow and hopefully they'll come through, the likes of Akos Buzsaky.
"Luke Young won't be available, Jay Bothroyd has trained the last couple of days and we're hopeful he will be ok and [Danny] Gabbidon the same. He should be okay."
