Fernando Torres: Short of goals

Fernando Torres: Short of goals

Roberto Di Matteo is deciding whether to axe Fernando Torres for Chelsea's crunch Champions League game at Juventus.

Torres was hauled off during Saturday's Barclays Premier League defeat at West Brom after another miserable performance and Di Matteo could start Daniel Sturridge in his place on Tuesday night.

Ashley Cole should return after recovering from his hamstring injury, as should several other rested players but John Terry (knee) and Frank Lampard (calf) were left in London.

Chelsea (from): Cech, Ivanovic, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Bertrand, Mikel, Romeu, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Moses, Marin, Piazon, Torres, Sturridge, Turnbull.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
