DJ Campbell: Hull transfer target

Hull manager Steve Bruce has confirmed the npower Championship promotion chasers are in talks to sign in-demand QPR striker DJ Campbell.

The 31-year-old, out of contract at the end of the season, has made just four starts for the Barclays Premier League strugglers since joining from Blackpool in the summer of 2011 for a fee in the region of £1.2million.

Campbell enjoyed a three-month loan spell at Ipswich earlier this season, scoring 10 goals in 17 appearances, and has attracted the attention of the likes of Cardiff and Hull as well as the Tractor Boys.

Bruce told BBC Radio Humberside: "We're talking to QPR. That's all we are at the moment, talking to them. We hope we can try and resolve something next week if we possibly can and we'll see what develops.

"I think the two chief executives are talking. Whether there's been a bid lodged just yet or not I'm not quite sure where we're up to."
