James Collins' strike saw Swindon win at Colchester

James Collins' strike saw Swindon win at Colchester

Swindon moved to just two points behind the npower League One automatic promotion places after James Collins' second-half strike sealed a 1-0 win at struggling Colchester.

Stevenage eased to a 2-0 win over Notts County thanks to Sam Hoskins' strike after just 38 seconds and Marcus Haber's 89th-minute effort.

Akpo Sodje's second goal of the game six minutes from full-time ensured Scunthorpe beat Portsmouth 2-1. Sodje had put the home side ahead five minutes before the break but Liam Walker equalised on the stroke of half-time. Second-bottom Pompey thought they had secured a vital point before Sodje the winner late on.

Oldham against Yeovil and Sheffield United versus Crawley were postponed due to snow and a waterlogged pitch respectively.
