Sky Bet have cut Manchester City to 13/8 favourites for the FA Cup after being handed a home tie with Barnsley in the quarter-finals, while Manchester United (5/2) and Chelsea (5/1) were drawn together.

City were 5/2 joint favourites with United heading into the weekend but now hold the outright favouritism, with their neighbours still to negotiate a clash with Reading on Monday night, while holders Chelsea await in the sixth round, assuming they can see off Middlesbrough.

The Blues are the biggest drifters following the draw, going out from 7/2 to 5/1 to lift the cup for a fifth time in seven years, slipping behind Everton in the betting, with the Toffees 4/1 as they face a replay with Oldham for the chance to host Wigan (25/1).

Millwall (50/1) host Championship rivals Blackburn (40/1) in the other quarter-final contest.

Sky Bet's Chris Spicer said: "Roberto Mancini's men will be the shortest price to progress once all the quarter-final ties are settled following the replays and offered Barnsley little hope of causing an upset with their convincing win performance against Leeds.

"City may have endured a difficult campaign but that could well help their chances of winning the FA Cup as it looks their only chance of securing any silverware this season."
