Gareth Bale: Target of missile

A man has been charged with throwing a banana onto the pitch during last Sunday's north London derby between Tottenham and Arsenal.

Thomas Flint, 23, from Enfield, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court on 12 April to answer a charge of throwing a missile on to the playing area, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

Flint, who is understood to be an Arsenal fan, has been released on bail.

During the Premier League match at White Hart Lane, which Tottenham won 2-1, Gareth Bale had a banana thrown at him by Arsenal supporters.

Arsenal said on the club's official website that if the individual charged was found guilty, he would also receive a stadium ban from Arsenal Football Club.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
