Dunfermline say they have yet to be served with a winding-up order despite Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs instigating proceedings.

The Irn-Bru First Division side, who last week established a working party to help them fend off liquidation, confirmed they owed £129,000 in VAT and PAYE.

A club statement added: "DAFC were in discussions with HMRC as late as Thursday afternoon to come to a solution re the repayment of these outstanding amounts.

"It was only after DAFC called HMRC on Friday afternoon they received confirmation that HMRC had applied for a winding-up order.

"DAFC have yet to be served with the winding-up order."Local rivals Raith Rovers vowed to help Dunfermline by donating some of the gate receipts from their Fife derby at Stark's Park on Saturday to Jim Leishman's 'steering group', set up to rescue the club after majority shareholder Gavin Masterton relinquished his board position.

Rovers will hand over admission money received from the Dunfermline support beyond the first 2,000 fans in the 3,250 capacity visiting stand.

A club statement read: "Dunfermline Athletic are, and hopefully always will be, our fiercest sporting rivals - but they are also our friends, and we would like to offer our friends a helping hand in their hour of need.

"Of course we really don't want our own support to be outnumbered... so this is a call to supporters of both clubs to get themselves, their friends and families along to the derby fixture which we sincerely hope will continue for many years to come."
