Steve Evans' Rotherham can enjoy victory at Morecambe

Our League Two expert Nick Hext makes Rotherham to win at Morecambe his best bet for this weekend's action.

Rotherham travel to Morecambe on Saturday and a win would get the Millers back on the promotion track after a rocky run of form.

Steve Evans' side have only won once in five games but the boss was still able to take positives from the Easter Monday defeat against leaders Gillingham.

"Anybody who has watched the game and doesn't think we deserve more is telling lies aren't they?" he told (or perhaps asked) the club's official website.

"They started better than us, they were in command, and we had a number of key players who didn't make it happen, not through lack of effort but it just wasn't their day.

"After that it was one-way traffic and their goalkeeper made a world-class save."

Morecambe are also on a bad run but manager Jim Bentley wasn't quite as complimentary as Evans about his team after the 1-0 loss against Wycombe.

"I'm shell-shocked to be honest because we were terrible. It was definitely the worst performance I have seen since I took over and I feel really flat," he said.

"It was an awful game of football, full stop, and I feel sorry for the fans that came to the game and will say sorry to them for what they saw."

Morecambe will end the season nicely in mid-table - barring a late collapse - but they are not playing too well at the moment and Rotherham have to be the call here.

The Millers can be backed for the three points at 11/8 to consolidate their play-off place and put pressure on the sides above them.

I

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
