Borussia Dortmund: Can beat Malaga after last week's 0-0 draw

Borussia Dortmund: Can beat Malaga after last week's 0-0 draw

Borussia Dortmund should be well clear in their Champions League quarter-final tie with Malaga after dominating the opening encounter between the sides.

I sided with Malaga in last Wednesday's clash but it was Dortmund who had the better of proceedings in Spain as they wasted plenty of chances to come away with better than a 0-0 draw.

Mario Gotze missed three great opportunities for the Germans but credit must go to Malaga goalkeeper Willy Caballero for a marvellous display at La Rosaleda.

Now the teams take to the field at Signal Iduna Park and Dortmund rightly start as the big favourites to reach the last four.

Jurgen Klopp's men are a best price of 4/11 in the to qualify market and 4/9 for the victory on the night.

That means there is better value in finding another way to back the 2011/12 Bundesliga champions.

You can get 6/5 for Borussia Dortmund/Borussia Dortmund in the half-time/full-time betting and that makes appeal when you look at how they have been winning matches.

Twelve out of 14 of Dortmund's previous wins have provided a profit by backing them in this way and I think they will win on Tuesday night.

That means the 6/5 should be taken as the best way to enjoy success.

The night's other match sees Real Madrid take a 3-0 advantage to Galatasaray.

You would be pushed to make a case for Gala reaching the last four at 66/1 but they could enjoy victory on the night.

There is 4/1 to be had if you want to support the Turkish Super Lig leaders for the win but Real's dominance in last week's match makes me stay away after taking Fatih Terim's side in the draw no bet market at the Bernabeu.

Real are 4/6 for the victory but I still have enough belief in Gala's ability to not see the La Liga heavyweights as a certain call.

Respect is due to Jose Mourinho's men for only losing one of their previous 12 matches and that run includes victories at Barcelona and Manchester United.

Real are finding form nicely and having them and Dortmund in the semi-finals should help provide some memorable moments as we wait to go down Wembley way.

amous. If that can be achieved whilst sitting in your pants and without any degree of hard work, all the better. I have no desire to be famous, but the rest of that line suits me just fine. Great article by the way, well worth the wait.

here seems to be little focus on the performance of Besiktas. They played very well and stopped Arsenal from playing. Credit has to go to their manager. As much as Arsenal didn't play too well, we kept a clean sheet, but the home side made it very difficult.

aha, The Fine? That will really hurt. Thats like me biting someone in my place of work and getting fined 78p. I would round it up to 80p because thats how much a packet of Quavers or a Topic are in the machine. The bans are heavy though, and rightly so.
