Bennett: Facing a club investigation

Norwich have confirmed defender Ryan Bennett is the subject of an internal disciplinary procedure relating to alleged remarks made on Twitter.

In a statement on their official website, City said that they were waiting for further communication from the Football Association regarding any possible charge of the 23-year-old.

The FA said tonight that there was presently no comment to make, while the England Under-21 international's Twitter page had been closed down.

Bennett, who joined Norwich from Peterborough last year, scored City's opening goal in their 2-1 win over Reading on Saturday.
