Rafa Benitez: Chelsea interim boss believes he has done a good job at Stamford B

Chelsea interim manager Rafa Benitez believes his work with the Blues will stand him in good stead when he begins his search for a new job in the summer.

The former Liverpool boss has endured a fractious relationship with the club's supporters since his appointment as Roberto Di Matteo's successor earlier in the season.

Despite being knocked out of three competitions since Benitez's arrival, Chelsea remain in contention for silverware in the Europa League and are battling with London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Benitez said: "I have a contract until the end of the season and then we assume that's it.

"I have to do my job. If you are asking me how I will be remembered - professional, working hard and trying to do my best.

"People can see what I have achieved in the past. We are talking two years ago, not 20 years ago.

"If you are at a top side, everyone can see you.

"I'm managing a top side and in the circumstances we are doing a good job. We can achieve another title and finish in the top three."

irst Townsend, now Chiles. What next ITV? Comedy that you can actually watch without vomiting up your own spleen? I'll be sad to see Matt Smith go though. I actually quite like him. Plus, he was good in Doctor Who.

wful, awful pundit. He was crap on BBC, and offered a little more analysis than Robbie Savage - apart from the delivery of banality in a sexy accent. Also, as I'm Irish he'll never be more then a slimy, hand-balling f**ker in my eyes.
