Celtic look ripe to oppose

There are plenty of reasons to oppose Celtic on the final day of the SPL season this weekend, says our tipster Gareth Friel.

The final round of SPL matches take place this weekend with the top six playing on Sunday.

With only the final European spot to be decided, it's mostly just pride at stake across the country and a number of youngsters may be blooded in preparation for next season.

Celtic may rest a few key players with the Scottish Cup final against Hibernian in mind. Even if they don't, their opponents Dundee United may still offer some value.

United's win at Inverness last weekend was their first since an injury-time Rory Boulding goal sealed their place in the top six against Aberdeen early last month.

But Celtic haven't won away in their last six and just once since December. They were held 2-2 on their last visit to Tannadice thanks to two late United goals.

All in all United look a bit too big at 9/2.

Elsewhere on Sunday there's a Highland derby in Dingwall as Ross County look to finally earn a win against their rivals Inverness.

Caley Thistle have won two of the three league meetings so far and knocked County out of the Scottish Cup at the second attempt.

Both sides have enjoyed very impressive campaigns, a derby win the only thing missing for County. A home win could also see Inverness edged out of the final European place.

Ian Vigurs has been a key man for Derek Adams and his side this season and has nine goals to his name, including two against Caley Thistle.

Six of his nine goals have come at home and he will be a big threat once again. Although the last meeting in Dingwall ended goalless, the other four meetings produced 16 and I fancy another open game on Sunday.

Vigurs is 3/1 to score at anytime, which looks decent, is the bet for me.

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
