Ince: Ridiculous bid required

The Seasiders are bracing themselves for a busy summer on the transfer front, with Ince having been strongly linked with a step up into the Premier League for some time.

Blackpool have successfully fended off the interest up until now, and insist they are ready to continue that fight.

They have no intention of sanctioning a sale, with Ince under contract for another 12 months, and have made it clear that only silly money would see them relax that stance.

Paul Ince told the Blackpool Gazette: "We knew there would be a lot of interest in Thomas and that's proving to be the case.

"But speaking to him, he will be happy to come and play here again. I'm not saying he doesn't want to go and play in the Premier League because I know one day he will.

"If we can keep him for the next 12 months, then it will save us from looking elsewhere.

"We'd like to keep him but if someone makes a ridiculous offer we'll have to look at it. Fingers crossed he'll be here again next year."
