With Sharp seemingly not figuring in Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino's plans, speculation is rife that the 27-year-old will link up with former boss Nigel Adkins once again.

Reports suggest that a fee in the region of £1.2million has been agreed between the two clubs, and even that a medical had taken place, but Sharp insisted he knows nothing about it.

"Don't believe what you read. My loan's finished at Forest, I have two years left at Saints," Sharp said on Twitter.

"Just for the record, I haven't had no medical."

Sharp played a pivotal role in securing Saints promotion back to the Premier League, but rarely got a look-in last season back in the top flight, fuelling rumours he is looking to move on this summer.

think he'll do quite well. My only reservation would be Kagawa, who had similar stats to Firmino in the bundesliga before he came, but time will tell.
