Fulham quiet on sale reports

Fulham have declined to comment on reports Mohamed Al Fayed has held talks over the sale of the club.

The reports claim Al Fayed, who bought Fulham in 1997, is ready to sell up and has been in discussions with potential investors from the United States.

Sky Sports News contacted Craven Cottage for a response, but Fulham said they would not make an official comment.

Al Fayed converted outstanding loans to the club into equity in January, leaving them effectively debt-free, while a second successive profit was reported for the year ending June 2012.

Fulham have become an established Premier League club under the 84-year-old's ownership, and the forthcoming season will be their 13th straight season in the division.
