Callum McManaman: Still suspended for Wigan

Team news, statistics and our verdict for Sunday's action in the Sky Bet Championship.Sunday, August 25

Watford v Nottingham Forest

Watford defenders Defenders Marco Cassetti and Joel Ekstrand are both fit to face Forest.

Cassetti missed last weekend's 3-3 draw at Reading altogether with a foot injury while Ekstrand (ankle) was forced off at half-time but both are available for selection with Nyron Nosworthy (Achilles) and Tommie Hoban (ankle) long-term absentees for the Hornets.

Strikers Darius Henderson (thigh) and Simon Cox (ankle) could return to contention as Forest look to maintain the Sky Bet Championship's only remaining 100 per cent record.

Djamel Abdoun was included in the squad for the first time against Bolton last week following his summer arrival from Olympiacos and the Algeria international winger will hope to keep his place.

Last season: Nottm Forest 0 Watford 3, Watford 2 Nottm Forest 0

Last five league matches: Watford W L W W D; Nottm Forest W L W W W

Top scorers (all competitions): Troy Deeney (Watford) 5; Henri Lansbury (Nottm Forest) 2

Referee: Oliver Langford

Our verdict: 2-1

Wigan v Middlesbrough

Wigan striker Marc-Antoine Fortune could be handed his first league start against Middlesbrough after impressing off the bench against Doncaster in midweek.

Winger Callum McManaman sits out the second game of a three-match ban while defenders Thomas Rogne (back), Gary Caldwell (hip) and Ivan Ramis (knee) remain sidelined.

Second-choice goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler could be in line for back-to-back starts for Middlesbrough with Jason Steele (ankle) still a doubt.

Despite being linked with several players over the last few days, including Leeds' Ross McCormack, Mowbray has no new faces to choose from and could start with the same XI that drew at home with Blackpool.

Last season: No corresponding fixture

Last five league matches: Wigan L D W L D; Middlesbrough D L L W D

Top scorers (all competitions): Leon Barnett & Shaun Maloney (Wigan) 2; Lukas Jutkiewicz (Middlesbrough) 2

Referee: David Coote (Nottinghamshire)

Our verdict: 1-0
