Scotland will be missing Jordan Rhodes and Charlie Adam for Tuesday's World Cup qualifier in Macedonia because of injury.

Gordon Strachan's boys remain rooted to the bottom of Group A following their 2-0 midweek defeat by high-flying Belgium.

But their hopes of over-taking Wales, currently fifth in the pool, received a blow ahead of flying out to Skopje on Sunday with the latest news from their treatment room.

Blackburn striker Rhodes came on for Leigh Griffiths after 68 minutes against the Belgians, but has picked up a hand injury.

Stoke midfielder Adam is suffering from a problem with his back.
