Emmanuel Adebayor: Could be set for Tottenham exit

QPR boss Harry Redknapp would love to take Tottenham outcast Emmanuel Adebayor off his old club's hands but admits his chances are slim.

Redknapp has already loaned Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto from Spurs, and striker Adebayor has been ordered to train with the reserves having fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane.

But the former Spurs chief admits it would be difficult to persuade the 29-year-old to drop down to the Championship.

"He'd be a great loan, that's for sure," said Redknapp.

"I don't know what will happen with him. He's a good player but it's up to Tottenham, they have lots of good players.

"He can't go on loan in the Premier League, he can only go into the Championship but whether he'd want to do that - it would be difficult I think."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
