Manchester United slipped into the bottom half with defeat to West Brom

Manchester United are out to 7/1 to successfully defend their Premier League title with Sky Bet after losing to West Brom on Saturday.

David Moyes' side deserved nothing more than they got as the Baggies won at Old Trafford for the first time in 35 years, and the online firm now make United fourth favourites in their outright betting.

That's after Arsenal won 2-1 at Swansea to move top of the table, with Sky Bet now making them 4/1 and just a point bigger than 3/1 shots Chelsea after they drew with Tottenham.

Manchester City also let down favourite backers having twice surrendered the lead before losing to Aston Villa, and although still favourites for the title they're out to 9/4.

Spurs were cut to 8/1 from 10s following that White Hart Lane draw while Liverpool are 12/1 ahead of Sunday's trip to Sunderland, a game they're odds-on to win.

Sky Bet's Sandro Di Michele said: "United and City both losing obviously represented a good result for us, although punters got some back thanks to Arsenal.

"When Arsene Wenger's side lost to Aston Villa and United won at Swansea on the first weekend of the season it was impossible to envisage this scenario in which it's United who have more than doubled in price in the outright betting, and alarm bells are ringing.

"Arsenal visit Old Trafford on November 10 and the one positive for United fans is that they have a good-looking run of fixtures up until that point, but on Saturday's performance that's no guarantee of success."
