Suarez: Two-goal hero for Liverpool

Liverpool are one of six teams priced at 10/1 or less for the Barclays Premier League title with Sky Bet following their win at Sunderland.

Luis Suarez returned to Premier League action for Liverpool with two goals in a 3-1 win, but Sky Bet were at least spared a big payout on first goalscorer after a Price Boost from 4/1 to 11/2 on the Uruguayan breaking the deadlock was scuppered by man of the match Daniel Sturridge.

The Reds are 10/1 sixth favourites for the title behind Manchester City (23/10), Chelsea (3/1), Arsenal (4/1), Manchester United (7/1) and Tottenham (9/1).

Norwich are out to 100/30 to get relegated following their 1-0 win at Stoke, who were cut to 5/1 to go down to the Sky Bet Championship.

Jonny Howson's strike ensured a 1-0 victory for the Canaries, who were well backed by Sky Bet punters despite an average start to the campaign.

Sky Bet's Sandro Di Michele said: "Norwich and Liverpool were well backed on Super Sunday while Sturridge and Suarez scoring was a blow too as they're always popular in the goalscorer markets.

"We can't complain too much after our own Super Saturday when both Manchester clubs were beaten, a welcome boost following a run of weekends where many multiple bets obliged with plenty of odds-on shots getting the job done.

"It's still early days, of course, but the title race looks wide open as a book with six teams 10/1 or shorter suggests. Our football traders still think Manchester City are best equipped to win the league, but Arsenal are shortening every week and are now a season's-low 4/1 for title glory."

may well get slated by other United fans for this, but out of the three contenders, I'd far prefer Liverpool to win the title. Yes some elements of their fanbase can be a bit OTT, yes they're our biggest rivals and yes it will make our poor season feel even more like the end of an era (Fergie's gone, Liverpool are back on top). However I just have to applaud Brendan Rodgers and the way he's turned Liverpool around in just a couple of seasons. It...

ooray! We are all excited now, we beat a very mediocre team! With all due respect to WHU supporters, not winning that game shouldn't even be a consideration. This is the problem, there is no winning mentality at the Emirates - we're all congratulating ourselves beating a team that we have a winning record against.

s this meant to be an aspiration for United supporters? Moyes mediocrity strikes again. I see the Bayern boys don't want to sign for him, and his reputation amongst the senior European coaches make other key signings unlikely.
