Joe Hart: On the bench for Manchester City

England goalkeeper Joe Hart has been dropped by Manchester City for the visit of Norwich in the Barclays Premier League, the club announced via Twitter.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini decided the time had come to leave out Hart after a number of errors this season, preferring Romanian Costel Pantilimon in his place.

Hart is relegated to the substitutes' bench while City, again without injured captain Vincent Kompany, have Matija Nastasic and Martin Demichelis in central defence.

Norwich make two changes from last week's draw with Cardiff as Steven Whittaker and Bradley Johnson replace the injured Alex Tettey and Robert Snodgrass.

think you're forgetting that De Gea plays for MU and therefore is the bestest and stats are meaningless unless they show this. Lastly, the understanding of goalkeeping in still the stone ages in England, so I wouldn't pay too much attention the warm secretions that pundits and various hangers-on, have been emitting over De Gea.
