Wigan manager Owen Coyle could hand a debut to new signing Will Keane. The 20-year-old forward arrived on loan from Manchester United on Thursday, teaming up with fellow Red Devil Nick Powell, and could face twin brother Michael, who joined up with the Rams in midweek. Aston Villa midfielder Marc Albrighton has been recalled by his parent club, while Lee Nicholls, a deputy for injured goalkeeper Scott Carson (ankle), should continue.

Derby have spent the week checking on the fitness of Jamie Ward, who scored tin the Rams' 1-0 win at Bournemouth but later came off after complaining of a pain in his knee and has undergone a scan. On-loan Manchester United defender Michael Keane could make his debut, while Jeff Hendrick (ankle), James Bailey (knee), Mark O'Brien (knee) and Adam Legzdins (ankle) are fit again.
