Murphy: Scored Sheffield United's second of the afternoon

A review of Sunday's action in the FA Cup second round, including Sheffield United's victory over Cambridge United.

Sheffield United managed to avoid an FA Cup upset as goals by Jose Baxter and Jamie Murphy guided them to a 2-0 victory at Skrill Conference Premier leaders Cambridge United.

Baxter gave the Blades the lead after 12 minutes when he met Ryan Flynn's low cross with a crisp, first-time finish that gave Cambridge goalkeeper Chris Maxwell no chance.

The U's hero from the last round Luke Berry then wasted a golden chance to level early in the second half as he ballooned a free header from Harrison Dunk's corner over.

And he was made to regret that miss as substitute Murphy doubled the Blades' lead when he was allowed to cut inside from the left before shooting inside the near post.

Bristol City managed to hold off a late fightback to earn a 2-1 victory at Tamworth.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas put the League One strugglers ahead nine minutes before half-time when he curled a left-footed shot into the top left-hand corner of the goal.

Sam Baldock then doubled the lead and apparently won the match for the Robins when he fired the ball high into the net seven minutes from the end.

However, Andy Todd gave the Lambs hope at the death when he slotted home from close range in the final minute.

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
