Kasper Schmeichel: Header appeared to cross the line before Wood finished

Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is hoping he will be credited with his side's late equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Yeovil on Tuesday.

Deep into second-half injury time and with City trailing to Joe Ralls' 22nd minute goal, Schmeichel joined the attack and saw a header come down off the bar before Chris Wood followed up to finish.

The goal was given to Wood but 27-year-old Dane Schmeichel is certain it belongs to him.

"I hope they give it to me, because the evidence is conclusive that it is over the line," Schmeichel told Sky Sports.

"I think Chris Wood will try to take it off me and I saw on the screen that Sky have given it to him, but time will tell."

The point leaves Leicester three points clear at the top of the Championship table, with a game in hand over second-placed Burnley.

The Foxes remain in pole position for automatic promotion as they hold a 13 point advantage over QPR, the team currently holding third spot.
