Matt Harrold: Two goals not enough for Bristol Rovers

A review of Saturday's action in Sky Bet League 2.

Portsmouth all but secured their Football League survival with a 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers at Fratton Park.

Adam Webster, Danny Hollands and Wes Fogden netted for Pompey with both of the Rovers goals coming from Matt Harrold.

Rovers remain outside the relegation zone only on goal difference.

Hartlepool sank deeper into relegation trouble after going down 3-0 at Burton, their sixth successive defeat.

The result left Colin Cooper's men only two points above the relegation zone as the home team kept alive their hopes of automatic promotion.

Billy Kee, Jimmy Phillips and Lee Bell scored the goals for the Brewers.
