Keith Andrews: Critical of Blackburn hierarchy

Keith Andrews: Critical of Blackburn hierarchy

New West Brom signing Keith Andrews has spoken about his dissatisfaction with the way his former club Blackburn has been run since it was taken over.

Indian owners Venky's took charge in November 2010, replacing experienced manager Sam Allardyce with coach Steve Kean.

And Andrews has spoken out about the regime which deemed him surplus to requirements, first loaning him out to Ipswich before allowing him to move to The Hawthorns.

"Things went on in the summer that I wasn't entirely happy with," he said.

"I had a tough season last year with a fairly simple injury, where I ended up getting an infection from the operation.

"For one reason or another I didn't play a lot of football last year.

"It was taken out of my hands in the summer. They wanted rid of me without really consulting me, so from that point on I was keen to get away."

And Andrews sympathises with the players left at the club.

"I think it's very hard," he said.

"The way the club's been run since the owners have taken over, the whole scenario isn't ideal.

"I think anyone that is in it will tell you that it's a bit of a mish-mash.

"The budget has been restricted, there's players leaving left, right and centre. It's not an ideal scenario."

here has only been 3 players who made me hold my breath in dread when they picked the ball up anywhere near our penalty area...in their prime Scholes and Giggs... and always Drogba. Awesome player who on his day was the best striker in the world in my opinion.

I

remember him scoring a 25-yarder, either the season just gone or the one before, against Bolton at the Reebok. I've never seen a ball hit that hard before in my entire life. You could almost feel the shockwave from his foot contacting it 40 yards away in the stands. Didier Droga. You might not have loved him, but you just had to be in awe of him.

den Hazard, def. - 1) that girl in a club who makes eyes at you all night, who allows you to buy her a drink and walk her home arm in arm, who then gives you a suggestive kiss on her doorstep before declaring how tired she is and how she has to be up early the next day. 2) A cock tease.
