Leicester are waiting to discover the extent of the ankle injury on-loan striker Nathan Delfouneso suffered against Brighton.
Following the dismissals of Jermaine Beckford and Neil Danns, the Foxes finished the game at the Amex Stadium with eight men as Delfouneso hobbled off in injury time.
Delfouneso, on loan from Aston Villa, is being assessed by Leicester's medical staff.
A serious injury will cut-short his month-long loan and leave boss Nigel Pearson short of strikers.
With Beckford facing a three-match suspension if the club's appeal is unsuccessful, David Nugent and veteran Steve Howard would be the only strikers available Pearson.
Darius Vassell, Martyn Waghorn and Jeff Schlupp are already on the sidelines through injury.
