Chelsea and Sunderland meet on Sunday April 7

Chelsea's Barclays Premier League clash with Sunderland has been rearranged due to the Blues' involvement in the Europa League quarter-finals.

The Stamford Bridge fixture was scheduled for Saturday, April 6, but will now take place 24 hours later on Sunday, April 7, all parties have confirmed.

A statement on Sunderland's official website read: "The Black Cats will now travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, April 7 for a 3pm kick-off, moving back 24 hours from the original scheduled game.

"The change comes due to Chelsea's involvement in the quarter-final of the UEFA Europa League, where they face Russian side Rubin Kazan on Thursday, April 5."

Chelsea face six matches in 16 days following the international break, beginning against Southampton in the Premier League on March 30.

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
