Chelsea advanced to the semi-finals against 10-man Benfica. Frank Lampard opened the scoring after controversial referee Damir Skomina awarded a hotly-disputed penalty. Javi Garcia equalised to set up a frantic finale, but Raul Meireles blasted home a breakaway goal as the Blues advanced.
