Ross Barkley: Back at Goodison

Ross Barkley: Back at Goodison

Ross Barkley has returned to Everton after the midfielder's loan deal with Leeds came to an end.

The youngster was not involved in the squad that lost 1-0 at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, and he has now returned to Goodison Park.

"I spoke to David Moyes at Everton," United boss Neil Warnock told the club's official website. "He wants him to play and I couldn't guarantee him that.

"He's done well, he's a smashing player, but he needs to play games and I can't guarantee that."

The Everton youngster joined the club on January 11 and made four appearances during his short stay with the club.

Can't promise him games... Of course not. We'll play Michael-Chuffing-Brown instead! THIS is why Warnock is bad news for Leeds. Lacking imagination and inspiration. I'm a Leeds fan, and even I am looking forward to our midfield getting slapped about by City. Maybe it will give GFH a nudge in the ribs...

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
